What are the benefits of detailing?
The physical condition of your vehicle not only impacts your overall driving enjoyment – it is also great for protection of your large investment! Regular auto detailing helps preserve your vehicle’s paint condition (think of all the dirt, dust, and debris on your road), restores interior comfort (air quality, upholstery, and UV protection) and preserves your vehicles value.
How often should a vehicle be detailed?
We encourage our clients to think of auto detailing as a maintenance need – just like they would an oil change or tire rotation! Depending on your driving habits, car washing and your vehicles exposure to elements, we recommend a car detailing service every 3 months to help maintain your vehicles condition.
Where are you located?
At this time, while we are on the hunt for commercial space in Ingham County, we are operating solely mobile or in-home shop based services. Our garage is utilized solely for business purposes, outfitted with professional tools, machinery and products and is secured and video monitored at all times. We offer ample parking and "at your convenience" drop off/pick up the day before, of, or after your services are scheduled. Complimentary valet services are available within 15 miles. At this time, there is no additional charge for mobile services however the following conditions must be met: access provided to electrical, water and environment/temp controlled area (garage, carport, pole barn, etc.).
What are your hours and what days are you available?
We schedule appointments every day of the week between sunrise and sunset. Appointments are offered first come, first serve. Once a request for service is submitted, we will provide you with an approval/quote via our online scheduling system. Appointments will be held for 24 hours from the time of this approval request.
Will there be extra charges?
Additional charges for Add-On Services may apply for excessive soiling (pet hair, mold/mildew, human or animal bio wastes, etc.). If your vehicle requires this level of service, we will advise you of these additional charges in advance of initiating the work.
How do I pay?
You can pay with cash, check or credit/debit card at completion of service or via a payable invoice that can be sent via phone or email.
Are tips expected?
Tips are always appreciated, but not expected. F.A.D. ensures that our service pricing is inclusive of our time, skills, education, tools, supplies and industry standards, while still offering competitive market pricing.
How long does the service take?
Service time varies based on many factors to include; type of services being delivered, size and condition of vehicle, weather conditions, availability of surface specialists and techniques required to achieve desired results. While we can estimate the time of service - we are not able to ascertain a final projected time of service for each vehicle until we complete an in-person inspection. In some cases, we may also require testing of various products, tools and techniques before being able to provide an accurate estimate of time required. Generally speaking; Xpress detailing services may last 1-4 hours, Standard detailing services may last 4-8 hours, Specialty Detailing Services (i.e. ceramic coating, paint correction, scratch removal, restoration work, etc.) may last 1-5 days based on the level of service required to reach desired goals.
Do you have service packages available if I want my vehicle detailed more often?
Certainly! We offer multiple levels of membership programs based on your desired frequency of service and budget.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured.
Do you guarantee your services?
We ask that you thoroughly review your vehicle immediately after your detailing service is complete. If you are dissatisfied with something after the service, we will work with you to remedy any issues if you are not satisfied with the results.
Do you have gift certificates?
Yes! We have gift certificates available year-round through our Virtual Shop. Gift certificates make great gifts for the any holiday, birthday or appreciation event. Discounts are available for bulk gift certificate purchases by contacting us via email at .
What do I need to do before my scheduled appointment?
To help us best serve you, it is requested that you empty out your compartments and any cargo area. Any items that we find during the detail we will place in a bag for your convenience. If there are any compartments or areas of the vehicle that you would rather not have detailed, please be sure to let us know! Please review our Terms & Conditions with regards to our standard operating procedures as it relates to detailing of critical/private areas of a vehicle.
Do you offer corporate or group discounts?
Yes, we offer corporate discounts for fleets or commercial accounts. We also offer multi-vehicle discounts when 2 or more vehicles are scheduled for service at the same location at the same time. Please contact us directly for more information on these discounts.
